Effective Date December 15, 2016
This policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Voleo USA does not own or control, or to individuals that parent company Voleo, Inc. (“Voleo”) does not employ or manage.
Collection of Information and Usage by Voleo
Voleo USA’s goal in collecting personal information is to provide you with an efficient, personally tailored, and enjoyable user experience on the Voleo platform. There is certain requested information that you may choose to not provide us, but in doing so, you may be unable to take full advantage of all of Voleo’s Services.
Voleo collects user-submitted information such as names and email addresses to authenticate users and send notifications relating to the Voleo Site and Services. Users in CA may email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request: Please do not share personal and financial information with your affiliated companies. Doing so may exclude such users from accessing the Voleo community or require closure of your account.
Voleo also logs non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, app usage information, aggregate user data, and browser type from users and visitors to the sites and mobile apps. This data is used to manage the app, track and score usage, and improve the app services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third parties, business partners and affiliates to support the features and functionality of the site and services and to provide more relevant services and targeted marketing messages to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes.
User Profile information including members’ pictures and profile names are displayed in order to facilitate user interaction in the Voleo social networking community. With few exceptions, a user’s email address is not shared or displayed to people within a user’s personal network. Users within a personal network communicate on Voleo with each other through the Voleo service, without disclosing their email addresses. Users’ full names are never directly revealed to other members, unless you so chose as your user name. We may also use a user’s email address to send updates, alerts, newsletters, or news regarding the Service. Users may choose not to receive email of this type by changing their “Notification” setting in their Profile Settings or by “Unsubscribing” at the bottom of email communications. A user may also request to no longer receive the above communications by using the contact information provided below.
Occasionally, Voleo USA or a third party business partner, affiliate or alliance member may sponsor a promotion, such as a product giveaway, sweepstake, or contest on Voleo. Users may be asked to provide personal information including name, email address, or home address, or to answer questions in order to participate. We may transfer personal information to certain partners from whom you have explicitly requested to receive information. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply. Users in CA may email us at email@example.com to request: Please do not share personal and financial information with outside companies you contract with to provide financial products and services. Doing so may exclude such users from accessing third party information or require closure of your account.
Our Site and Services may include links to other Web sites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Voleo USA. If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy statements. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy statement of any Web site you visit.
Social Sharing of Data
* Voleo USA allows other users to view companies you track, your comments, product and company ratings, photos and/or videos you upload, and any other material you make publicly available on the Site or Services.
* Profile information: The Voleo platform allows other users to browse your user name and any other profile details, should you provide this optional information.
* API: Voleo USA will provide third parties access to Voleo data that is already publicly available through our Site and Services. Voleo USA will keep private passwords, settings and other personally identifiable information in our database, and in those of third parties whose technologies are integrated with the Service.
As is true of most Web sites and Mobile applications, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the Site and Services and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.
We currently link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information to provide a more secure experience.
We may use one or more third-party tracking services, including Google Analytics, to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our Site and Services in the aggregate such as referring sites, geographic location, time spent on the website, pages visited, and other metrics commonly collected in the usual course of business to identify potential areas for targeted improvements to the Site and Services.
